What's New?

Well she may not be crawling or walking yet, but she's pretty amazing! It just keeps getting more fun. The "priceless moments" seem to come ever so often. Here's a couple of our faves:Brooklynn's peeps - Kylie & Owen

First Turkey Day!

What a day! We started with brunch at Grandma and Grandpa Wesling's house with all the aunts, uncles, and cousins. Brooklynn and cousin Sophia played together! Then we headed to Grandma Betsy's for dinner. Although Brooklynn couldn't eat most of the food, she enjoyed some mashed potatoes and yams! Yummy! We're all so thankful for our families. We love you guys! Brooklynn and Sophia

Looks like all she wants for Christmas is a pair of sunglasses. Sweet!

Stuffed like a turkey! Look at that belly!

Zoo Day!

Tuesday was an absolutely beautiful day - 78 degrees in mid-November! We decided to play hookie and take Brooklynn to the zoo. She loved the gorillas!

California Trip!

This week has been crazy as we've been hopping all around California. We left Friday evening for Oakland and visited Aunt Peg and Aunt Sandy. Then we drove to San Francisco and stayed a night in the city and met up with Carrie & Josh and Grandma and Grandpa Wesling. Sunday we headed up to Sacramento to stay with Carrie and Josh. We enjoyed some good cooking, their new dog Dax, and going to the park. On Wednesday we flew to San Diego to stay with Aunt Kathy. We drove up to the Stoltzs for dinner on Wednesday and had lots of fun playing with Kade. What a cutie! In San Diego we hit the beaches, the Wild Animal Park, and visited uncle Chris. Finally...back home whew! It was great to visit so much family, and Brooklynn was awesome! Muir Woods outside San Francisco

Our Little Ladybug.....

Here's some pics of little Brooklynn in her costume. She's not a fan of the costume, but we enjoyed dressing her up. Poor girl!

Oh the changing leaves....

This weekend we decided to take a drive to the mountains to check out the beautiful fall foliage. We stopped in Golden for lunch downtown and then looped to Blackhawk and Nederland. It was a little chilly but the sites were unbelieveable. Sure makes us appreciate Colorado's beauty.

Look what I can do now!

A big milestone - Brooklynn can sit on her own! Of course there were many face-plants and falls before it was mastered, but she's getting better everyday. So sweet and innocent....
She can pull the dogs' hair and really tick them off!
She can now go to the zoo and actually enjoy the animals (except she was a little scared of the turtle). Good luck getting her to take care of cousins Moses and Odin!

The Ram Fam

Saturday was Brooklynn's first CSU football game. She enjoyed the trombone suicide but crashed shortly after. She slept through the exciting victory, but she was a trooper!

I love spinach!

Eating food is a new adventure everyday! Each day Brooklynn learns something new to do with her food. Last week it was gagging and coughing. This week spitting it all over the place. It's too funny!

Daddy's Birthday

Steve turned the big 2-8 on the 12th! Steve had a work shindig in Vegas, so we thought it'd be a great place to celebrate the birthday. Of course we had to leave Brooklynn at home, and we missed her tremendously. We headed to downtown Vegas Friday evening and then went to Mystere (Cirque du Soleil) on Saturday night. We stayed at the Venetian and ate at some swanky restaurants. We were able to see how wealthy people do Vegas!
On the Venetian balcony
Brooklynn loved the wrapping paper.
Go Rams! Yes that is a half-eaten cake!

Labor Day Weekend Festivities

This weekend we started swim lessons. Daddy swam with Brooklynn, while I was photographing. They sang songs and played with some toys. There's nothing like seeing Steve sing "Motorboat...motorboat". If the guys could see him now! Brooklynn did really well and enjoyed it, even though she was the youngest one by far! Sunday we sported our CSU gear for the big game, although it turned out to be an ugly game! Monday we packed a picnic and headed to the park for some R & R.

Oh how she's growing....

In the last month Brooklynn has learned to laugh (the best sound in the world), play with her toys, and master the art of eating food! I've gone back to work part-time, so she's going to daycare a few hours a day but loves it! We've been lucky to find a wonderful daycare. We're working on sign language, so we'll see how that goes. It's been an amazing 6 months and each day gets better. We're looking forward to her new discoveries everyday.

First Solids!

The day has finally come....we fed Brooklynn some cereal. It was super messy but loads of fun. She's getting better everyday, but we think she's ready for finger foods or maybe just fingers!
