We had a packed weekend, but had lots of fun! On Saturday morning we decided to take a dip in the pool and try out Brooklynn's new floatie. She had a great time and may have been swimming with Rod Smith - the jury's still out on that one! Saturday afternoon we had a goodbye BBQ for the Doogans and the Startzels came over with little Jackson. Brooklynn quickly showed him who's boss by body slamming him to the ground. Sippy cups always start fights. Sunday we headed to the ballpark with Jenni & Chris. The Rocks lost, but Brooklynn loved the organ player and the jumbotron!

Memorial Day Weekend Trip
On Saturday we headed to the Hepp cabin for some R & R. Once we made it there, we were able to get in a hike before the rain, and Brooklynn loved her new hiking backpack. Her and Kiley had lots of fun playing and entertaining each other. On Sunday we headed out for Hot Sulfur Springs to enjoy the nice, warm baths. Brooklynn only wanted to stand on her own and be independent, so luckily they had a 2 ft. deep pool. On our way home we stopped in Idaho Springs for some Beau Jo's pizza - one of our favorites from Fort Collins. What a great family getaway!

Mother's Day
Our mother's day was relaxing! I woke up to homemade waffles and bacon in bed! Since it rained all day, we couldn't have our picnic, so we had to settle on Philly cheesesteaks for lunch. Yummy! Steve made me a gorgeous picture book for Mother's Day! When I look back at pictures of last Mother's Day it's amazing how much Brooklynn's changed and grown!

Viva la Mexico!
We decided to not follow everyone's advice and head to the Riviera Maya anyway. The flight was less than half full as well as the resort, but we didn't mind. They gave us an ocean-view room right next to the beach, pool, and bar. Does it get any better? We mostly relaxed by the pool and the beach and took a trip to Aktun Chen one day to tour a cave. We were the only ones there and got our own private tour, a little sketchy but we made it. Most of the tourist spots were closed, so we stayed on the resort. The food was good and the drinks even better, of course non-alcoholic for me! When we returned home I found out I had to take a week of administrative leave for going to Mexico, so here's to a really long vacation! Here's some of our pictures:
