Birthday Celebrations!

Friday was Brooklynn's 2nd birthday! She had a fun party at Lee's house with all her daycare friends. Then Saturday it was off to Hazel's 1st birthday party. Brooklynn had a great time running around with all the kiddos!

Oooohhhhh.....cupcakes!

The birthday girls! This was as good as we could get - they're both too fast!

Sunday afternoon we had her family birthday celebration. Here's Brooklynn checking out her Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cake!

She actually touched the flame on the candle.....ouch! (Look at daddy in the background laughing)

Brooklynn-
It's hard to believe it's already been 2 years since you made your grand entrance into our lives. It has been an amazing 2 years and gets better every day. You always make us laugh, whether it's by beating us up in wrestling or just singing with your off-key voice! You always brighten the day! You are an incredible young lady, and we look forward to many more memories with you! We love you more than anything!

Back to Swimming!

We went back for swimming lessons, and Brooklynn still loves it. She's getting so good and can probably outswim me! Of course getting her to follow directions is challenging, because she just wants to do her own thing.

Getting ready to go in with daddy
She's getting really good at going under!
And she can even blow bubbles!

Valentine's Day

Luckily we were home in time to celebrate Valentine's Day! Saturday night Steve and I went out to dinner and then to see Legally Blonde. It was a great date night! Sunday we hung out with the girls and then decorated cupcakes with Andy and Makenzie.

Hospital Pics

We were finally released Friday morning from the hospital...hopefully for good this time! Eight nights in a hospital is not a fun time. Chandler will be on an antibiotic for a week and a half, but doesn't need the oxygen anymore! She's doing really well transitioning to being back home. Brooklynn is so excited to have bothy mommy and daddy home and of course her baby sister back.

Here's a few pics from the hospital. Of course the quality isn't great because they're cell phone pics. I didn't want to actually break out the camera at the hospital. That just ain't right!
Here she is on her oxygen. So precious!
She was such a trooper and so happy.

Time to go home...well....maybe

Monday morning we were discharged from the hospital. As we were leaving I said, "I hope we never have to come back here." Of course here we are back again on Tuesday. Chandler woke up with a really swollen and red left cheek. Then came the fever and diarrhea, so I knew it was an infection of some sort. Her pediatrician wanted us to go right to Children's Hospital again and get treated. Hopefully it'll only be for a night while these antibiotics kick in! The doc said this is just bad luck! They can't figure out where or how the infection started - our little medical mystery baby.

Poor Chandler!

Yesterday morning I took Chandler to the doc to check out her cough, because she had been coughing so bad she was throwing up. As soon as I got there they checked her oxygen levels, and they were dangerously low. They quickly got her on oxygen but told us we'd need to go to Children's Hospital right away and we'd be traveling by ambulance. How scary! We were in the emergency room for hours waiting for a room but finally got to a room around 5. Hopefully we won't be in here too much longer, but we have to wait for Chandler to be breathing better and be less congested. She's been such a trooper as nurses have been in constantly to clear her nose. Hopefully we'll be able to go home on Friday, but Chandler will probably have to be on oxygen at home for awhile.
