Brooklynn loves to sing just about any song. Here we caught her on camera finally!

Oh How the Time Flies...
Our little girl is already 6 months old....wow! Today was her check-up, and the doctor was excited to see her so healthy. Here's the latest stats:
Height: 25" 25th percentile
Weight: 15 lb 13 oz 48th percentile
Head circumference 16" 19th percentile
We were surprised the doc called her "petite", and it made me laugh. I would hardly call her that, but apparently the numbers don't lie. She's eating like crazy and is already up to 3 meals a day.

Chandler's First Trip
Last week Stevehad to go to Portland, so Chandler and I tagged along for the weekend. We thought taking both kids would be too tough, and we knew it'd be easier to travel with Chandler, and Brooklynn wouldn't enjoy the traveling. We left early Friday morning and headed to the city. The weather was cold and windy by the river, so we thought maybe Washington Park would be warmer - wrong. The park is right outside the city and is beautiful! Our first stop was the rose garden, but it was too early and no blooming roses. Our next stop was the Japanese Tea Garden, which was cold but tranquil.

Saturday we drove to the coast and hung out in Cannon Beach (where the famous Goonies rock is). It was a cute town, and the coast was beautiful! Even with the cold wind we enjoyed walking the beach and a good lunch.

Here comes the solids!
After we returned from Arizona we figured we'd better start Chandler on cereal, since she has been eating like crazy and struggles to fill herself up! We were waiting until it was necessary, because there's already so much on our plates having two little ones. With Brooklynn we couldn't wait to start the solids...not so much with Chandler. She did really well and is getting better each day. This week we'll start the veggies - I already cooked up some yummy carrots!

(Of course we had to do the Bumbo on the table)

Easter Festivities
Easter was lots of fun this year, because Brooklynn is starting to understand what's going on. Carrie came out for another visit, so we colored some eggs. It was a blast!
Brooklynn had to make sure all the eggs were in the dye at the same time. She also enjoyed throwing the eggs in. Needless to say, not many of the eggs were edible.
On Easter we hosted brunch with Aunt Joan, Uncle Doug, cousin Matt, mom, Andy, & Makenzie. We even got to Skype with cousin Mukpiks in Alaska.

Easter Egg Dunking
Carrie came into town for Spring Break, so we thought we'd try to color some eggs with Brooklynn. She absolutely loved it! She was throwing eggs in the cups, double dipping, and cracking them all. After she was done her hands looked like the Incredible Hulk (check out her right hand). So much fun!

Arizona or Bust!
Saturday night we headed out for an all-night drive to Tucson for spring break to visit Aunt Kathy & Rohn. Of course it's the Rockies' last year in Tucson, so we wanted to catch some baseball along with some warm weather. The snowy weather in Denver is enough to drive someone crazy! Steve and I drove in 3-hour shifts and arrived early Sunday morning with two sleepy girls. Sunday we napped and then walked to the park. Here's Brooklynn at the sandbox.
Monday we went to the Desert Museum, which Steve and I had gone to a few years ago. We must've picked the busiest day, because we waited in line forever. The weather was beautiful but hot and the girls didn't last long. Of course the best part was having a couple rude ladies remind us that our girls were getting sunburned. They tend to turn beet red in any warm temperatures!

I love her expression!

Tuesday we walked to the Children's Museum downtown. It was a great museum, and Brooklynn loved it. We had to drag her out for her afternoon nap!
Daddy decided to stack all the bricks and then threw his body into it. It was hilarious, and I'm just glad we didn't get thrown out!
Wednesday was the Rockies last spring training game in Tucson. They're moving to Phoenix next year (boo!) We had to dress the girls up in their Rockies gear. We decided to leave Brooklynn at home, so she could nap.

We left Wednesday evening and again drove through the night. The girls did great and slept most of the time. Although traveling with 2 kids is much tougher, we had a fun time hanging out and taking them places. Kathy made us some delicious food and now the diets start! Next weekend we'll be taking Chandler to Portland..........uh oh!
