Steeze's First Father's Day

Our father's day weekend celebration was great! Saturday afternoon we took Brooklynn swimming - she's starting to enjoy it a little more. Later that evening we had dinner with Papa Jeff. On Sunday morning Brooklynn and I took Steve out for breakfast. In the afternoon we walked to the park and we all took a nap in the grass (except for the dogs...they were watching out for us). Sunday evening we celebrated with G & G Wesling for dinner!

Weekend Getaway in Keystone

This weekend we went to Keystone to relax at my aunt and uncle's condo. We took many walks and shopped for Brooklynn. We tried to swim with her, but she wasn't having that! I think she wants to stick to the nice warm baths.

3 months.....progress.....

How things have changed from the beginning.....
1. Our favorite - Brooklynn now smiles and coos all the time! I think she's the only one who laughs at the dumb faces we make.
2. We're starting to figure out what she wants - food, food, and more food!
3. We now know how to properly "air-tight seal" the diaper after many poop blowouts!
4. We actually sleep - turning off that monitor is the best present to give yourself!
5. She can now roll over - the first step of her being ambulatory. The fun has only begun!

The last three months have been the best! We treasure every moment we have with Brooklynn and enjoy watching her change daily! Parenthood has been the most wonderful time of our lives and hopefully we can still say that during her teenage years.

Baby Brooklynn has arrived!

At my 38 week appointment I wasn't dilated AT ALL and no contractions! The doc told me it looked like it could be awhile for baby to arrive. On Tuesday, Feb. 26th getting ready to go to work my water broke! After calling the hospital and finding out we needed to go immediately, Steve and I rushed around getting stuff ready, darted out the door to sit in Denver traffic! I still hadn't had any contractions, so at the hospital I was put on Pitocin to speed up the delivery. After a few hours I was finally having contractions and boy were they painful. Epidural please! At 8:34 little Brooklynn arrived. Thank God for an easy delivery and a beautiful baby!
