13 months!

So now she's a whole 13 months old. Wow! I used to hate when people used the "13 months" and trying to figure out what that really meant (a year and a month, right?), but I guess I've fallen into the same trap. We've had some beautiful weather here the past month, so we've been able to do some outdoor stuff.

Brooklynn's new ride. She was a little unsure at first but seems to enjoy it now.

Saturday we went on a picnic to the park with Uncle Andy and cousin Makenzie. Fun times!

First Tooth!

So the day has finally come....an actual tooth. Brooklynn's been "teething" for months with no actual teeth until now! So I'm guessing it's easy from here on out...yeah right!

Here's a video Steve captured Tuesday morning of Brooklynn actually sleeping sitting up. Grandma said she did it Saturday night too. Hilarious!

Party time!

Saturday was the big party! Brooklynn was such a trooper even with all the people and chaos! She actually enjoyed being on stage when we all sang to her. A big thanks to everyone who came!

First Birthday!

I can't believe a year ago we were in the hospital anxiously waiting Brooklynn's arrival. The strange thing.....right now Amanda and Zach are having their baby. Just to think we were in the exact same position exactly a year ago....weird!

It's been such an amazing year. Seeing Brooklynn's personality develop has been such a joy, and we cherish every moment we have with her. She's such a sweetheart!

Today she had cupcakes with her friends at Lee's house and then some more at home with mom and dad. Talk about a sugar rush (especially since she hasn't had any sugar since she was born). We opened a few gifts before the sugar crash. Saturday is the big shindig.....and more cake!

Playtime!

Yesterday we went to the Weihe's for some playtime! The kiddos had a good time playing, and I think there was even a little romance between Kiley and Owen. Some day I'm sure they'll be fighting for Mr. Owen. How times have changed.....we used to go bar hopping together, now it's play dates! Brook-a-lynn is lucky to have great kids to grow up with!

Valentine's Day!

We enjoyed an uneventful, relaxing Valentine's 3-day weekend. Friday we ate at Maggiano's for some family dining. There was a table next to us that wouldn't pay attention to Brooklynn, so she decided to throw her toys at them. Pretty funny! Saturday we had a romantic meal with the Doogans. On Sunday G & G Wesling came over for dinner and to give Brooklynn her gifts.
