End of Summer.....

Our August has mostly been packing and getting ready to rent our house, but we've tried to make as much time for fun stuff with the girls. We went to the Adams County Fair a few weeks ago for a good time. The girls loved the petting zoo and the $3 carousel.

Glad he didn't spit on her!
Chandler lovin' on the goat

Could anything possibly gross these girls out? I guess so......

All she needs now is to learn how to throw up the "Wesling"
I know everyone is just staring at those thighs - so meaty!
Steve's Father's Day present was a Rockies game, so we finally got to go and take Brooklynn. She did really well and now can't stop chanting "Go Car-go". She's going to be a sports fanatic like us!

Gotta love beautiful Coors Field
We also got to meet Heather, Kiley, & Kaitlyn to the zoo. Brooklynn had a rough day, so there weren't too many cute pics. Here's the ladies checking out the zebras.

Last weekend we met the Deegans and Startzels at the Aurora Reservoir for some swimming, picnicing, and playing in the sand. Chandler just wanted to eat the sand - rough time coming out!

Beach Bums

This was the cutest thing I have ever seen!

Aunt Carrie visits!

A couple weeks ago Carrie flew out for a visit. We were lucky to be able to spend so much time with her. Wednesday we went to the zoo and then met the entire family for dinner at White Fence Farm. Thursday Carrie got to take her favorite nieces to their favorite place - Little Monkey Bizness. What a great visit, and we will miss you guys - they're moving to Ireland. What a great opportunity - do it now before kids!

To the fair....to see cowboys!

A couple weekends ago we went with a big group of friends to the Arapahoe County Fair. Brooklynn was so excited to see the "cowboys". There was a cowboy dressed up at the front, and since then she hasn't stopped talking about her "cowboys". Uh oh!

Brooklynn petting the sweetest calf
Checking out the roosters with daddy (I think that's what they are - a truly country girl should know that stuff)

The kiddos had a great time driving around. Owen even filled
up at the gas station.

That Girl Can Shake It!

On Saturday we went to the Dragon Boat Festival to see Kenz hula dance. She was awesome! I heard the people around us talking about her moves and her attitude. Great job girly!

*I know it's difficult to see, but she's the one on the far left!

Deck Party! Woo Hoo!

After 7 years we finally decided to finish the deck - adding on to it and adding railings. It was getting a little scary with no railings and kiddos. Of course we had to celebrate the new deck with a little party. Somehow it turned into a kids hangout, and they stole the show. How typical - I only get pics of the kids. I promise there were adults, beers, and burgers!

Cute cousins playing nice Then the naked sliding

And Cayden being a sweetheart to little Chandler
The best part of the BBQ - when the sprinklers came on and everyone was in the lawn! Thankfully someone grabbed Chandler since Steve and I were both inside.

Ahoy matey!

Last Monday Steve played hookie and we went to Pirate's Cove with the Deegans & Startzels. I didn't get too many pictures, because we were too busy having a fun time on the lazy river. All the kids even tried the water slide.

This is what happens after a full day in the hot sun and cool water
These girls never stop eating!

And it'd only be appropriate if the "guncles" took a pic together!

Long weekends are the best!

Steve had a 4-day weekend for the 4th, so we decided to take advantage of the nice weather and the time off. Friday we headed to the Botanic Gardens. Here's Steve with Chandler at the Japanese Garden (my favorite). She actually posed...it's amazing!

At the waterfall

Monday we took the girls and met Grandma & Grandpa Wesling at Heritage Square. It was perfect for Brooklynn, because they have little kid rides. Brooklynn was quite a trooper and went on all the rides. The only one she didn't care for was the teacups - too much spinning I guess. What a fun day!

Daddy & Chandler on the train

Tuesday we hung out with Grandma Betsy and went to the Botanic Gardens again. Never too many beautiful flowers!

Tuesday night we celebrated mom's birthday with everyone - Wes's family, Andy's, and ours. It's always neat to get the two baby cousins together. They're both so stinkin' cute.
