Summer is in full swing!

So far we've had a great summer, and it's still early! We try to get out almost everyday - either to the library, pool, park, or just chill out with the toys in the backyard. Here's a few pictures from our last week:

On Wednesday we met Andrea, her niece, Katie, and her gorgeous daughter, Gabby, at the zoo. It was neat to get Chandler and Gabby together - they're only a couple weeks apart in age. Here's some pictures of the beautiful divas. How would a boy ever choose between these two?

Chandler always ready to go see more!

On Thursday Steve met us at the pool - Chandler's first time in an outdoor pool. The girls had a great time. Chandler hung out in the floatie while Brooklynn was all over the place swimming and playing with other kids.

Chandler actually passed out like this.

Brooklynn with her new water wings - great idea! She's too independent for a floatie and doesn't realize that she can't swim, so these were handy.

Sunday we went to Cherry Creek Reservoir with the Startzels. Brooklynn was excited to go back to "the beach" - as good as we have here in Colorado. We had a great time, and Brooklynn is always excited to see Jackson.

Family shot - we don't have many of these!

Chandler passed out again - this time while Steve was holding her in the water. She hasn't fallen asleep on someone since she was a newborn.

Daddy's Day!

It was a weekend full of Father's Day celebrations! First we did dad's on Friday with dinner and then took him to a Rockies game, and they even won! Here's Brooklynn helping papa open gifts. Saturday we went to Steve's parents' for dinner. Brooklynn had a great time in the backyard. Here's the dads with the girls.

Sunday was all Steve. We cooked him breakfast in bed and then left for the Aurora reservoir. We were there just in time to get a shady spot in the grass. Brooklynn loved the beach (the closest thing we have to it) and playing with the other kids. It was a little chilly for Chandler, but she didn't mind getting her feet wet and of course the sand was delicious!

I feel blessed to have these great dads in my life and the girls' lives. They love each of you dearly! And someday maybe someday the girls will find me as cool as their dad. Just maybe.....

The Fun has Just Begun!

Last week we officially started the potty training. We started using the "training pants" underwear, but she just kept wetting through them, and I couldn't tell. Then I decided to go to the "naked" method. Since we have wood floors, I thought I'd just grab her if she started going and put her on the potty. Even though we've made some progress I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing! I didn't realize how long the process is.

Here's Brooklynn getting comfortable on the pot with her rabbit and blankie. She loves to just sit on the potty for a long time. It's pretty funny!

What a Fun Day!

My last day of work was Wednesday, so we decided to kick the summer off right with a day at the museum with Heather, Kiley, and Kaitlyn. The girls had a good time, and it was neat to see Brooklynn and Kiley interact with each other.

Kaitlyn passed out, but of course the other 3 went strong all day!
After our naps we met Jackson and Greg at the water park for some more fun. Even Chandler got her feet wet!

Memorial Day Weekend!

Memorial Day Weekend is always a great time - 3 days off, warm weather, and barbeques! Unfortunately I got really sick Thursday night, had to call in Friday and then was sick all weekend! It was the nastiest flu bug I've ever had! What a way to spend the weekend...and Steve enjoyed taking care of 3 babies! They did get out of the house on Sunday and met Grandma and Grandpa at the zoo. Here' s a few pictures of their day. Brooklynn riding the carousel with grandpa

Our favorite niece turns 8!

A couple weeks ago was Miss Makenzie's 8th birthday. I can't believe it's already been 8 years - I still remember sitting in the hospital waiting room like it was yesterday. We started with manicures & pedicures on Sunday followed by dinner and cake at our house with Papa. Monday we went to Casa Bonita with Makenzie's friends and Grandma for some cliff divers and fancy food. A fun time was had by all. Brooklynn wasn't ecstatic about it, but soon enough she better learn to love that place!

Happy Birthday sweetie - we love you so much! Brooklynn is always down for celebrating birthdays!
