Pooped!

The ones who get the most sleep around here........

Our Revolving Door.....

With the birth of each of our angels, we get lots of visitors to check out the chaos of our lives.  Here's a few pics of Adaley's special visitors.

Magra Betsy
 Magra and Papa
 Another girl cousin?  Sweet!
Our furthest traveler - Aunt Carrie!  (More pics to come of our fun visit)
 Aunt Kathy and Rohn
 Jan & Forney

Even with the visitors we've had time to settle in and figure out how to go from our man-to-man defense to a zone.  The girls continue to adjust well - they're just excited to have mommy and daddy both home everyday!

She's here.......'bout time!

After weeks of anticipation and days of disappointment with no baby, our induction date came!  I had thought we'd be having the baby in late April, so being a few weeks later made for an unhappy mommy.  Having a scheduled induction was a totally different experience.  With the other girls I was litterally "thrown" into labor, not giving myself time to freak out.  Being induced, I had the nerves running rampant days earlier, but the luxury to pack the girls and get the house somewhat ready before we left.

We checked into the hospital Friday night at 8:00.  The nurses got to work quickly to start the process - ripening of the cervix.  Ewwww.......sounds horrible!  We got a few hours sleep - the beds were uncomfortable and I had started having some contractions.  At 5:30 they checked on me.  I was dilated to only 1 cm but assured me that starting Pitocin to speed up contractions should do the trick.  Sure enough, within the half-hour I was contracting and asking for an epidural!  Because of my low blood pressure they wouldn't administer the epidural until I had gone through a saline IV bag.  I knew the labor was coming quick - making me think I was going to miss my window for the epidural.....AGAIN!

Luckily the anesthesiologist was quick and ready to go as soon as the bag emptied.  Good thing because I was ready to push a half-hour later.  After 6 contractions we heard the infamous words "It's a girl!"  Of course I had to look and make sure they were right - I was thinking it was going to be a boy with such a difficult pregnancy!  Of course we were just excited to meet her and reassured she was extremely healthy and beautiful!  The nurses immediately placed her on my chest, and she sat there calm as could be observing the world around her.  As they poked and prodded she remained calm and didn't even cry for her bath.  That was our biggest relief - a calm baby!

The first question for us - what's her name?  And we were stumped.  We hadn't decided a name, so she was baby girl Wesling for a few hours.  We decided on "Adaley", because it seemed girly and sweet - just like her!

Friday night getting ready

 First pic with daddy
 What a big girl - 7 lb 14 oz (almost 8 lbs.....whoa)

She's got her mommy's toes -  pinchers for sure!

On Saturday morning grandma and grandpa brought the girls to the hospital to meet little Adaley.  The girls immediately hopped in bed with me and were in love!  They couldn't stop touching her and asking about her.  It was one of the most amazing memories I will cherish for years!

My favorite part - after explaining who she is and all that jazz, Chandler looks at me and says, "What baby?"  We'll have a lot of explaining to do for days........
All they wanted to do was hold Adaley
Getting ready to go home on Sunday

We went home on Mother's Day to some very excited sisters and one happy doggy.  Although overwhelming at first, the girls have been great with Adaley.  Brooklynn is constantly kissing her and making sure she isn't crying.  Chandler is having a little tougher time, because she's been the baby for so long now, but every day she gets better at accepting her new role and loving on her sissy.

We're still figuring out our zone defense, but everyday gets a little easier and worth the extra work!  We feel extremely blessed to have 3 healthy and amazing girls.  Hopefully we can keep our sanity until they are all teenagers!

Get up and Dance!

So, I am one of the biggest Ellen fans!  The girls and I enjoy watching her show a couple times a week, and I always find myself laughing and just enjoying her.  So when I saw her "Dance Dares" and me being pregnant, I knew it was something I just had to do.  So what is a dance dare you ask?  It's when you dance behind unsuspecting people in public, and it's freaking hilarious!

Here's some of her best: Ellen's Dance Dares

Then one day she put out a special call to pregnant moms to dance dare.  Then I knew I was truly on a mission.  The problem - I was already pretty far along and didn't know how I'd shake my booty and not hit someone with the bump (which is a daily occurrence).  Since we had overnight babysitters last weekend, we decided we'd hit the town to shoot some videos.

It was tougher than I thought - you really have to stake out good candidates.  Unfortunately our best video had some technical difficulties (user error), but we got a couple decent ones.  It was really a lot of fun - I don't think Steve and I have laughed that hard together in a long time (other than at the kids).  I recommend, pregnant or not, videotaped or not, everyone should try it sometime, maybe if you're having a bad day or just need a good laugh.

We did submit the video to Ellen, and we'll see if we make the cut and get the $100 JCPenney giftcard.  Even if we don't, it was a good time and a good way to end this long pregnancy!

Spring has Sprung!

Luckily we have had the most beautiful spring here in Colorado!  The weather has been hot, although unfortunately dry, and the wind hasn't been annoying.  We've had a great time enjoying the weather during the week and family time on the weekends.

Our beautiful tulips in bloom in the front yard

We spent Earth Day at the Botanic Gardens.  Last year they opened a great kids' garden that the girls absolutely love!  Again, the weather was beautiful!
Even getting wet in the stream
 Dressing up as flowers

On Monday night we went to our first Rockies game of the season.  Usually we avoid April games, as it's too chilly (especially for a night game).  Not this time!  I think we have some baseball fans on our hands.  They were so cute chanting "Go Tulo" and constantly asking where he was.  Of course their favorite part - their first cotton candy!

I can't believe it's only the beginning of May, and we've already been able to do so much outdoors.  Should make for a fun summer (hopefully not too hot)!  Now if this baby would come, so we can have lots of family outdoors time!
