To me, anniversaries don't need a big celebration, so when we were planning on taking the kids to my aunt's house for a family BBQ for our anniversary I was fine with that! No biggie! I woke up Sunday morning to a Starbucks delivery (woohoo) and flowers. Then Steve surprised me with a date night after the BBQ! Our ideal date - hiking at Red Rocks park and then dinner in Morrison.
The hike was beautiful! We don't get up there nearly as often as we'd like. We stopped along the path for a glass of wine, which we've never done before, but since there was a Jerry Garcia tribute concert that night there was plenty of boozing happening around us.
Steve is much more the romantic of the relationship, and I'm glad he planned something, so we didn't have our usual dinner at home where we're bribing the kids to eat dinner while they complain!
Happy Anniversary babe. I am in love with you now more than ever. You're an amazing daddy and husband and I hope one day each of our little girlies find a man as great as you.
