Times Goes by Way Too Fast!

Where has the time gone?  It's hard to believe our little Addi bug is already 2 months old!  Within the last month she's changed so much - she now smiles all the time and loves to hear her voice.  I think she already understands she's going to have to speak up to be heard in this house!

I took her to her 2 month check-up today, and she was awesome!  The nurse said she felt so bad giving her shots, because she was all smiles for the nurse.  She's extremely healthy and doing great developmentally and continues to be extra long and lean.  Maybe the model of the family.......hmmmm.....

Stats:
Weight - 12 pounds (56th percentile)
Length - 24.25 inches (97th percentile - WOW!)

Milestones:  Smiles, coos, holds head up pretty well, smiles when she sees us (getting out of bed, etc.),

Here's a few 2 month pics of our baby:

Our Growing Bug

It's amazing to watch how quickly a newborn grows and changes!  When it's your last baby it's a little sad...So I keep telling myself maybe there will be more.  Haha!  I now see how easy it is to spoil the baby of the family.

A little late but our Adaley's 2-week check-up was awesome!  The NP was impressed with her weight gain and alertness.

Length - 21 inches (71st percentile)
Weight - 8 lb 4 oz (42nd percentile - up 6 oz from birth)
Head circumference - 35th percentile

What a rock star!

Our Getaways.......

We decided to make Steve's last week of leave a busy, yet fun one!  We headed to Keystone for a few days of R & R full of pool time, strolling through Breckenridge, and a kids' festival.  It was so nice to get away free of running errands and doing house projects.  The girls had a great time and were sad to leave!

Loving the pool!

 So independent in her floaties
Taking a dip in the river

 Ice cream time in Breckenridge!

 Breckenridge Babes
Tuesday we went to a kids' festival with a show from the Denver Zoo, face painting, and a jumpy castle.  Chandler was brave enough to show off her pride for the Rockies - good thing she doesn't know how bad they are!

Thursday we drove to Fort Collins for the day (daddy's favorite place).  We went to a local farm in a park in the city that we never even knew existed.  Of course those weren't the hangouts for us years ago, but we could tell you where any bar was.  We were worried it'd be too smoky from the fire, but the day was clear and beautiful for us.

Love this pic!  Daddy and his girls in the oval on campus!  Hopefully we can go back this fall with the changing leaves and do this again.

We had a great six weeks with daddy at home.  The girls enjoyed doing so many activities - hopefully they'll be content staying at home with me while we figure out schedules and how to take 3 kids out.  Scary!

Our Little Athlete

Anyone who knows Steve and I knows we are sports nuts!  When we found out we were pregnant 4 years ago with a girl Steve was a little scared not knowing how to play Barbies, tea parties, and dolls.  I reassured him that we could possibly have an athlete in utero, which sparked his interest.

Of course after we realized what a girly girl Brooklynn was, we thought we had no shot in her being the athlete, so we moved onto "training" Chandler.  Then this spring I gave Brooklynn some options of activities for the summer and without hesitation she shouted, "Soccer!"  I could Steve's face light up immediately!

Our friends Lori & Craig put together a team with friends, family, and neighbors, which made it easier for the kids (and parents too).  Brooklynn was ecstatic to start and wear her new cleats and shin guards!  She did really well the first game, and she found an interest unlike any of her other ones.  The team did a great job as well, and it was entertaining to watch the little ones try to learn the game.

Of course we'll support whatever she wants to do in the future, but we sure were proud of her showcasing her athletic talents.  Only 4 more years until she can start softball.........I'm already getting excited!

Lookin' good!

Brooklynn told Coach Craig one of the rules of soccer - "No sucking fingers"

Sisterly Love......

I know, as a mom, it is a requirement to brag about your kids and how wonderful they are.  Well, I have to say mine really are (and I'm not just saying that).  Of course they have their moments - you can imagine with 3 emotional girls!  But I am most thankful of their love for one another.  It has been amazing to watch Brooklynn and Chandler become best friends (most of the time) and now seeing their love for their new little sis.  They are all so good to each other, and Adaley's face already lightens up when she sees or hears her big sisters.  I can't wait to see the 3 of them running around, putting on fashion shows, and wrestling in the family room.  I know it won't be long.....

They love to giev Adaley cuddles before bedtime - cutest ever!

Daddy's Still Home....

Having Steve home for paternity leave has given us the opportunity to do lots with the girls - all of them!  We've been attempting to hit up all the kids' favorite spots now, because I'm a little hesitant to take them all by myself in a few weeks.  Ouch!

First up - the WOW Children's Museum
Always loving to dress up (and flash the panties apparently)

Our Deegan/Wesling playdate at the Botanic Gardens
The girls in deep conversation

Taste of Louisville
The girls enjoying some fondue from The Melting Pot

BBQ at the Startzels
Finally getting all the kids together!

Picnic at the park

 Feeding the ducks
We rented a paddle boat and took all 3 girls!  Brooklynn and Chandler were loving to stick their arms in the water scaring mommy to death!

Adaley's First Month

Oh...how time flies.  As we looked at the calendar today I was shocked to see it was already the 12th - a month from Adaley's birth.  I decided I better post new pictures of our little Addi bug and then realized we don't have much for pictures.  Oops.  Guess that's expected with the 3rd one.  Thank goodness she looks a lot like Brooklynn as a baby, so we maybe we can get by inserting Brooklynn's pics into Adaley's photo album.

Adaley's first bath.....so relaxing

At her 2 week follow-up appointment she had gained some weight - up to 8 lb 4 oz, which pleased the doc!  She is still long and lean - 70th percentile for length and 40th for weight.  Her eyes continue to be dark, so we may have our first brown-eyed child!
