I know we always say the weather here in Colorado is crazy and unpredictable, but that has been an understatement this spring! For the past 4 weeks we've had a "Tuesday storm", starting with our pathetic "blizzard" on April 9th. So it snows on Tuesday and by the weekend it's pretty nice, and then we get slammed again! We're supposed to be keeping the trend going this Tuesday but with rain instead of snow.
So May Day didn't disappoint - lots of wet, heavy snow for us. Our poor tulips didn't like the snow! I guess that's why they say the only safe bet is to plant gardens after Mother's Day.
When the girls saw all the snow on Wednesday only one thought popped in their heads - SLEDDING! I assured them it'd melt too fast and there wouldn't be enough in the grass to actually sled, but Steve was so excited when they said it he geared them up after dinner and took them out. Turns out it was great sledding conditions at 6:00 in the evening. Glad we were able to get one
How we roll in May (only in Colorado)
